Shudder of Wonder

Padding through cyberspace yesterday
I read of disturbances
To the rings of Jupiter and Saturn. Did they shrug,
These mighty masses of molecules smashing together
Not quite hard enough to birth two more stars? No shudder
Erupted from them! Instead, comets smashed into their rings, scattering them in
Unusual patterns for hundreds of thousands of kilometers….all those pounds and
Pounds of rock and ice scattered like so many grains of sand kicked by human feet
Walking along the coast of Oregon on a sunny day here on planet Earth, Blue among the Stars.
How massive is that?
